Therapy provides a space for growth and understanding so we can embrace a new version of ourselves.
I am passionate about working with folks who have experienced trauma (psychological, physical, sexual, religious, etc.), helping them heal and reclaim pleasure. I think our traumas can often feel like a burden or like they cloud our vision, and there is so much room for growth and understanding that can help us embrace a new version of ourselves. I also specializing in working with people in the the LGBTQIA+ community.
As someone who has seen the firsthand benefits of therapy in my life, I believe the therapeutic relationship is paramount. I focus on creating a comfortable and safe space for my clients to discuss anything and feel seen and understood. By employing trauma-informed, psychodynamic approaches and DBT skills, my hope is to help unpack shame and help you envision and enact a future where you can be happy because of your experiences, not in spite of them.
