Couples and family sessions are unique because the couple or family is the "client', which means your therapist cares most about what works for everyone as a whole, compared to one specific person.  Having an unbiased third person provide you with skills and tools so the couple or family can communicate more effectively makes a huge difference in everyone's quality of life. This service is available whether a family member is an individual client or not.

Our couples and family therapist will chat with you via phone or email to ensure you are a good fit, answer any questions you have  and make sure you feel completely comfortable with the process. 

Starting from your first appointment you’ll be given the tools and resources you all need to communicate effectively and understand eachother.


EMDR is a holistic and form of therapy designed to diminish negative feelings associated with memories and traumatic events. The goal of EMDR is to fully process past experiences and sort out the emotions attached to those experiences. Negative thoughts and feelings that are no longer useful are replaced with positive thoughts and feelings that will encourage healthier behavior and social interactions. Ultimately, it teaches self efficacy as you teach your brain how to regulate itself. Though it was originally developed for PTSD, we find this intervention effective in treating a wide range of mental health symptoms including: anxiety, depression, chronic pain and grief and loss. We also offer a subset of EMDR called Brainspotting.

Taking the first step in attending a therapy appointment is no easy feat - and that’s why we make all appointments as comfortable as possible. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about your therapist prior to your appointment, and if you decide to do your sessions in our office - you’ll love the easygoing, relaxed vibe. (No old men recording notes about you in a basement)
