“I partner with you and collaboratively structure our sessions based on your goals and insight.”
Going to therapy had a profound impact on my life and inspired my career to become a therapist. I support my clients on their journey of self-exploration through an approach that is rooted in respect, compassion and acceptance of each client, meeting them where they are at in the present moment. I know first-hand how lonely and isolating it can be when those intense emotions feel crippling and you can’t even pinpoint what is causing them. Therapy changed my life, and empowered me to better understand and take care of myself and it can do the same for you.
I partner with you and collaboratively structure our sessions based on your goals and insight. Before becoming a therapist, I spent four years at a local victim services agency educating the community about sexual violence and serving as a crisis counselor/ advocate. This work instilled in me a passion for supporting individuals who have been impacted by trauma as they work to reclaim their power.
Our bodies hold trauma and stress accumulated over our lifetimes. As a result, I utilize a combination of EMDR, narrative, solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and behavioral theories to help you recover. Whether you’re recovering from PTSD, relationship trauma, dealing with the aftermath of narcissistic abuse, or struggling with anxiety, depression, or low self esteem, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
At different live music venues throughout the city! Last year I even convinced my friend to cancel her plans with only a hour's notice to drive to Washington D.C. to see Harry Styles for a second night in a row!
Alabama, but weirdly don’t have a southern accent!
Asheville, NC. One of my favorite things to do there is grab takeout and drive up to the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains and sit and watch the sunset.
I love to read! As much as I love music I am usually listening to audiobooks whenever I am driving or doing chores.
Have a sad movie marathon with a friend! I think it can be so cathartic to cry about something that isn’t real.
