“Some experiences we never truly ‘get over,’ but together we can find ways to carry them so that they feel less heavy.”
I believe in the power of therapy because I’ve been there myself. My own experience sitting on the other side of the couch transformed my darkest days into a path of healing, and it inspired me to become the kind of therapist I needed when I was struggling. Now, I feel incredibly privileged to walk alongside others on their journey toward healing and growth.
My approach is warm, genuine, and sometimes sprinkled with humor (because life can be messy, and sometimes we need to laugh). I create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders or life or identity changes. I blend evidence-based approaches like ACT, DBT, and CBT with genuine connection to help you create lasting change. As someone in the LGBTQ community myself, I also understand the specific nuances and challenges that individuals experience.
For those struggling with eating disorders or body image concerns, I offer specialized support using a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. I understand that healing your relationship with food and body involves addressing the complex emotions, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped your relationship with yourself. Together, we’ll create a path toward recovery that feels authentic and sustainable for you.
What can you expect in our sessions? Together, we’ll identify the root of what’s bringing you to therapy and create a thoughtful treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. Some sessions might focus on processing emotions and experiences, while others will be more active – practicing new skills, exploring different perspectives, or working through specific challenges. I believe in making therapy both meaningful and practical, so you’ll leave each session with insights or tools you can actually use in your daily life.
I have a particular passion for working with all types of grief – and I mean ALL types. Whether you’re processing a death, pregnancy loss, infertility, a breakup, or major life transitions (such career changes or quarter or mid-life crises), I get that grief isn’t just about death. Some experiences we never truly “get over,” but together we can find ways to carry them that feel less heavy.
I believe therapy works best when it’s both caring and practical. While I’ll always provide a compassionate ear, I’ll also help you understand the connections between your thoughts and behaviors, tap into your inherent strengths and develop coping skills that actually work in real life. As someone who was once nervous about starting therapy myself, I understand how overwhelming that first session can feel. My goal is to create an environment where you feel genuinely heard, valued, and comfortable being yourself. I look forward to connecting with you!

My absolute passion is travel and most recent trip was to Egypt in March 2022. Some favorite spots are Kotor (Montenegro), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Valencia (Spain), and Ushuaia (Argentina). That’s so hard – there’s so many amazing places out there!
