“In my practice today, I specialize in working with both adults and teens, focusing on issues such as OCD, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.”
From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a therapist growing up with an emotionally immature mother who struggled with addiction. I learned to distinguish between her issues and my own, but despite this awareness, I couldn’t escape internalizing her insecurities. In my early teens, I went to my first therapist for depression. I will always remember the jar of cheerios on his desk labeled “Bagel Seeds!” Therapy helped me navigate various situations such as coming out and the sudden loss of my father. I deeply believe in the power of therapy to change lives.
Have you noticed we often have the same issues coming up time and again even when we thought we figured it out before? I provide support to my clients who are ready for change and together we build upon their previous success. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), parts work, and mindfulness to help my clients achieve their goals, develop healthy boundaries, cultivate self-compassion and self-acceptance.
In my practice today, I specialize in working with both adults and teens, focusing on issues such as OCD, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I am proudly an LGBTQ+ and gender affirming therapist and am particularly passionate about working with other folks in the community. If you think we may be a good fit, I would be honored to support you in your journey.
Always hot, with a healthy amount of oat milk.
My grandmother, Joan. We would make one of her classic meals together and then enjoy it at her kitchen table while she tells me all the neighborhood gossip.
I throw salt over my shoulder every time.
Heights! However, I will always go on a Ferris Wheel even if it makes me cry and laugh.
