“Therapy is more than just venting to someone.”
As a teen, therapy was one of the first places I remember feeling seen and understood. I worked through my anxiety and codependency issues and it changed my life. And I have a feeling it may change yours.
Therapy is for everyone, and I am committed to creating a non-judgmental, sensitive, empathetic, and humor-filled space where therapy no longer feels intimidating. Therapy is more than just venting to someone. It involves identifying the thoughts and behaviors keeping you stuck as well as the life experiences and other influences that may have shaped these patterns. I want you to be able to really get to know yourself and feel empowered to move forward in the world and create a life you love.
My therapeutic approach pulls from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However I tailor every session to meet the unique needs of my clients. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, self esteem, parenthood and eating disorders across the spectrum. Many times our eating disorders or their behaviors function to keep us feeling safe, in control, and valuable, so learning how to make it to the other side can be difficult. I’m here to walk you through that process.
