“My goal is to create a safe space for you to rediscover your intuition, gain awareness, explore, process, and develop new coping skills.”
Growing up I received so much pressure to suppress my sensitive nature. So often dismissed as being “too sensitive” and “overly emotional”. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to experience anxiety, depression, loss, eating disorders and trauma. I know how hard it can be to move out of a shame/guilt spiral, reevaluate your relationships and everything you’ve known about your life so far. I know what it’s like to suffer with something alone and feeling terrified to share it with anyone else from fear of being misunderstood, rejected, shamed, etc.
I recognize that starting therapy often feels scary and overwhelming. That is why I value meeting people where they are, without judgment. My goal is to create a safe space for you to rediscover your intuition, gain awareness, explore, process, and develop new coping skills.
My approach to therapy is person centered, trauma informed, and pulls from Somatic Therapy, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also believe it’s important to consider the profound impact that existing with a marginalized identity has on our mental health. I operate under a lens that constantly considers the ways that systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma continues to impact our mental health.
I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I love helping individuals and couples navigate life transitions, learn how to communicate effectively, set boundaries and develop self esteem. I am passionate about working with couples for pre-marital counseling, or those navigating big life and relationship decisions. Regardless of what you are dealing with, it is truly an honor to be with you on this journey.
In whatever way my body wants that day (my favorites are stretching, dancing, cycling, or strength training).
It’s a tie between hiking in the grand canyon or road tripping to Disney World.
To teleport and travel across the world every day.
Everything I’ve learned and unlearned about myself through therapy!
Tiramisu or any kind of cheesecake.
